Simple Quality

“Get to the point!” - the phrase that does not pertain to this book at all. Morgan Housel summarizes important key concepts covering the vast self-help genre in a coveted tome of wisdom.

Through the weeks of reading this book, certain chapters, such as (1) Hanging by a Thread, (6) Best Story Wins, and (14) Casualties of Perfection, spoke more than others; however, each of the 23 chapters has its focal point. Housel summarizes the concepts with a handful of stories and statistics without boring the reader. It’s relevant, adding to the overall claim, and is written as a welcomed reminder to remember these concepts.

Of all the chapters, the one that had the least revelations aka highlighted quotes, was (17) The Wonders of the Future. Good delivery, but a meh chapter that I could’ve done without. Adding to that point, the writing can feel dry at times. Little emotions and more of a tell it with some stories and recalling the past ordeal.

Keep that in mind, as this is much more of a biblical ten commandments kind of book rather than a living the best adventure of your life story.
