To Continue Dreaming

Upon returning to the States, I was met with open arms as my family greeted me at the airport terminal with a poster stating:

“Welcome Home! You survived 6 months of adventures.”

The 6-month backpacking journey finally concluded!

Sitting in the passenger seat, I was joyous to be home and spend time with my family and friends. The next few weeks were a rush of settling back in, celebrating in festivities, and catching up with friends from all walks of life.

Just like the snap of a finger, it was over in just a flash.

A question now faced me: “Where do I go from here?”

Thoughts of training for another marathon, moving to New York City, and spending time to get to know my family were all objectives on my mind. Yet, there wasn’t the same adrenaline rush as before of: “Oh my gosh, we’re doing this! It’s insane.”

Rather, it was now a follow-up question of: “Who do I want to be when I reach these goals?”

I don’t know the answer to that yet, so the travels continue with a journey to the East Coast!

Before embarking on new adventures, there is a time to enjoy and learn about the stories of other explorers, whether they are your family, friends, or even strangers!

The journeys we go through provide stories for us to share in the future. Those chances to take a look back both grant you the opportunity to enjoy what has happened along with inspiring others.

Without the stories of many explorers, these goals and thoughts you read about today would not have come to fruition. You are one step away from inspiring someone else in your life. Keep living your story and dreaming bigger!
