Breath of Fresh Air

“We are now boarding to Newark,” announced the flight staff.

Minutes later, I sat beside others on a new journey to the East Coast. I breathed a sigh of relief at how I could just be there once more.

Over the past month, there were trips to the dumpster and donation stores while bringing in new equipment to build an environment with minimal barriers to accommodate this next season. The hours were spent tirelessly screwing in nails and rearranging furniture. There was always something that needed to be done.

Yet, this six-hour flight slowed everything down. It provided the space to reflect, reminisce, and breathe. A few memories popped up here and there of sharing meals with Singaporeans and practicing communication with Australians.

The feeling of nostalgia lessened and it was time to look forward. What is the next goal to lean into? What dreams would you reach for? How much do they mean to you?

All of these questions and more were thought of to pave the next pathway forward for this season of life.

Stepping time away from your day-to-day is tough to find, especially with our ever-growing busy world. When those moments appear, you can congratulate and celebrate how far you’ve come. See how much you’ve grown and developed. Embrace those feelings and acknowledge how much you’ve overcome.

That sense of achievement and fulfillment gives you the perspective of how much you are capable of as you paint the next steps in your life! The steps for you to continue dreaming bigger and bigger.
